ISMAI was an opportunity to take contact with Portuguese system of sport education.I’ve found professionalization in coaching and motivated teachers who became my friends.
The exchange in cultural directions was complete and the ambient of Atlantic Ocean at Porto is unique.Wishing the best for the future collaboration plans
The most cordial welcome by friendly Portuguese colleagues at the University Institute of Maia, a well-equipped modern building surrounded by a beautifully arranged leafy area where some groups of cheerful students were taking a break that sunny morning – this was the first scene that immediately fascinated the visitor, a guest teacher from Hungary. I was very much pleased that I had the opportunity to teach both first- and second-year cooperative students majoring in Tourism at ISMAI, thus could, hopefully, raise and disseminate cultural awareness via international audiences, which had been considered to be a crucial message of the lectures. The professional experience I gained at ISMAI is planned to be adopted in the course of teaching future Hungarian students at BBS, Hungary.
Honestly, I am greatly indebted to Prof. Alexandra Neves, PhD, vice-rector, for inviting me to teach her students, for managing my interactive classes, as well as for providing valuable comments on my presentation and a lot of useful information about ISMAI, the Portuguese people and their culture. Last but not least I would like to thank her for her hospitality. I am also grateful to Patrícia Araújo, International Relations Office, for all her help preparing my visit and arranging my official documents, for showing me round in the building. It was also a nice surprise to notice the calls for my lectures posted on the walls.
Finally, I would like to thank the contribution of the students who attended my classes, particularly the substantial help of those who showed an active interest in my lectures. I was pleased to hear about the future visit of two second-year Portuguese students to Budapest Business School via Erasmus+ project. Welcome, both of them, next year!
It would also be a pleasure to make the Portuguese colleagues welcome from ISMAI in the near future.
In May 2014 I had a pleasure to visit ISMAI within the frames of Erasmus program.
I enjoyed one week at the ISMAI having opportunity to teach English to a group of staff members. Moreover I had a chance to get to know really nice, cooperative and friendly people and to discover the style and atmosphere in the city of Porto.
In my opinion, ISMAI and Porto are undoubtedly places worth visiting!
